Ocaña chair by Estudio Brana

«They were designed strategically, rationalizing the material, making sure that they do not have any waste since a piece of the bench for children is cut from a large stool.»

To Ocaña stools I have a special affection since they were my first designs and I manage to immerse myself in the world of the industrial design. I am an architect, and in 2014 I lived in Barcelona, where was born the need to design products beyond architecture. I knew that I wanted to use wood and do it in a sustainable way … so the banks came up and also the Estudio Brana.

Ocaña, was designed in such a way that seros produced in series, making rational use of the material through computerized cutting, and joining the pieces with the element of easy disassembly and glue. Achieving a sustainable product. They were designed strategically, rationalizing the material, making sure that they do not have any waste since a piece of the bench for children is cut from a large stool. Also, in their bays can be placed towels, or magazines, also serving store.

Ocaña stool was presented in 2015 at Salone del Mobile Milano and also in Wanted Design NYC.
